He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McCarthy and Laura McCarthy; his son Theodore McCarthy; and his son-in-law Robert McCalip. He is survived by: his wife Joan McCarthy (Baker); his children, Margaret McCalip, Jason McCarthy (Leah) and Kathleen Mahli (David); his grandchildren, Chloe McCarthy, Maxwell McCarthy, Meredith McCarthy, John McCalip, Charles McCalip, Oliver McCalip, Hana Mahli and Cora Mahli; and his sisters, Dixie Easdon (Charles) and Barbara Grasseschi (Thomas). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
