Mary Sather Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Sather of Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on February 5, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mary departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Weber and Helen Weber (Ruden); her spouse Norwin J. Sather; and her siblings, Lonnie and Buck.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Sather (Steph) of Watertown, SD, Reed Sather (Amy) of North Liberty, IA and Noreen Neville (Rodney) of Montevideo, MN; and her sister Patty Howey. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel (1111 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Name Catholic Church (1009 Skyline Dr, Watertown, SD 57201).
