Lester R. Fairchild Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester R. Fairchild of Watertown, South Dakota, born in Canby, Minnesota, who passed away on August 23, 2022 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lester R. Fairchild to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Fairchild and Annie Fairchild (Christensen); and his daughters, Joy Fay Fairchild and Elayne Fairchild. He is survived by: his wife Edythe Battles of Watertown; his children, Clark Fairchild of Sioux Falls, SD, Brady Fairchild (Dawn) of Watertown, Sherrylynn Blassl (Duane) of Sioux Falls, SD, Debby Abers of Watertown and Jill Stevenson (Duane) of O'Fallon, MO; and his siblings, Henry Fairchild of Canby, MN, Edwin Fairchild of Canby, MN, Nina Alfaro of Texas and June Pacleb. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to Glacial Lakes Humane Society.
