He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Bachman and Velma Bachman (Heiden). He is survived by: his siblings, Karyl Somers (Jim) of Watertown, SD and Jerry Bachman (Cyndi) of Zell, SD.
In December, 1976 Leland moved to Watertown, SD where he has lived independently until his hospitalization with Covid on March 22, 2022.
