He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence B. Howell and Mary Howell (Rickerl); his wife Judie Johnson; and his sister Mary Ann Ambrosier. He is survived by: his children, Pam Rogers (Joel Mullett) of Woodbury, MN, Deb Howell of Yankton, SD and Michele Rohde (Kyle) of Yankton, SD; his grandchildren, Thea Rogers, Zachary Rohde and Tanner Rohde; and his brother Charles "Chuck" Howell of St. Paul, MN..
