It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kayleen M. Haiar of Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 31, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kayleen leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Kayleen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her father Gary Haiar; her grandmother Marlys Schuster; and her cousin Cory Haiar. She is survived by: her mother Shelley Gerard (Miller) of Chamberlain, SD; her siblings, Kimberlee Schumacher (Cody) of Chamberlain, SD, Kyle Haiar (Paityn DeBoer), Kayla Barnable (Jason) of Sioux Falls, SD and Josh Cokens (Casey) of Estelline, SD; her children, Peyton Haiar of Chamberlain, SD and Abigail Haiar of Mitchell, SD; and her grandparents, Loren and Charlotte Geerdes of Chamberlain, SD. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (902 S Main St, Chamberlain, SD 57325).
