She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Ann Kranz (Gruenheck); her husband Rodger William Gross; and her father Bernard Kranz. She is survived by: her daughters, Cristin Vandriel (Mark) of Victoria, MN and Michele Gross of Copenhagen, Denmark; her grandchildren, Maya Steffes (Alec), Ben Vandriel (Chelsea) and Malik Machaieie; and her siblings, Leon Kranz (Nancy) of Oceanside, CA, Sheila Ravizza (Gene) of San Jose, CA, Neil Kranz (Jackie Streeter) and Linda Tobkin (Joe) of Ruidoso, NM..

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jesus Catholic Church (1009 Skyline Dr, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Arrow Education Foundation in Watertown (Karen Gross Scholarship) or to the charity of your choice in memory of Karen.
