She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Smith and Margaret Smith; her husband Orville; her granddaughter Briana Vazquez; and her sister Margery Whitten.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Hartwig (Becky) of Crooks, SD, Sharie Bekaert of Watertown, SD, Mark Hartwig (Dawn) of Watertown, SD, Scott Hartwig (Cathee) of Canistota, SD, Brian Hartwig (Sarah) of Spearfish, SD and Dawn Vazquez (Andres) of Watertown, SD. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
