It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Leroy Olson of Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on March 29, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Olson and Bessie S. Olson (Cook); his daughter Michelle; his former wife Diane Aalfs; his wife Peggy Hulzebos; and his siblings, Glenn Olson, Orville Olson, Harold Olson and Violet Lodoen.

He is survived by: his children, Kim Pickrel of Somonauk, IL, Stephanie Ries of Sioux Falls, SD, John Olson (Kari) of Valencia, CA and Kathy Selchert (Rodney) of Watertown, SD; his sister Stella Ostrander of Watertown, SD; and his grandchildren, Eric, Kelley, Jason, Amy, Meghan, Melissa, Kate, Emily, Kassidy, Caden, Morgan, Christopher and Brooke. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
