He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Weiland and Ione Weiland (Yost); his brothers, Donald and John; his parents-in-law, Anton and Bernice Dupont (Kranz) of Kranzburg, S. D.; his siblings-in-law, John, Anthony Dupont, Rollin Imme, Antonette Imme, Mary Heisler (Dupont) and Margaret Keating (Marge); and his daughter-in-law Dustina Weiland.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Elizabeth Dupont; his sons, Gregg Weiland of Flower Mound, TX and Thomas Weiland (Dawn) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Andrew Weiland (Lindsey) of Omaha, Arielle Weiland (Cody Kruse) of David City, NE, Jasmine, Kayde and Laney Weiland of Flower Mound, TX; his great grandchildren, Hunter of David City, NE, Jaxon and Jameson of Omaha, NE.; his siblings, Ronald Weiland of Bloomington, MN. and Roxann "Susie" Thoreen (Weiland); and his siblings-in-law, Connie Dupont of Rapid City, SD, Jolene Haywood (Scott) of Rapid City, SD, Joan Reilly of North Chile, NY, Barb Taken (Al) of Watertown, SD, Joe Dupont (Shelly) of Watertown, Gary Heisler of Spearfish, SD and Dean Keating of Watertown, SD. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
