She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl C. Hanson and Ilah G. Hanson (Olson); her grandfather Hans Olson; her husband Don W. Nelson; her sister Doris Sheldon; her niece Laurie Ann Lingor; and her great grandchild Kai Riley Theel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donette Theel (Dennis) of Sioux Falls and Lisa Stern (Allen) of Clark; her grandchildren, Kelsey Jo Collins (Sam), Riley Lee Theel (Paige) and Dana Stern (Jamie Angerhofer); her great grandchildren, Harrison, Hudson Collins, Koa, Wren Theel and Ilah Stern; and her brother Dennis Hanson (Flora) of Aberdeen.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Furness Funeral Home (402 N Commercial St, Clark, SD 57225-1243). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (4 2nd Ave SE, Watertown, SD 57201).
