He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hedman and Stella Hedman (Newton); his mother-in-law Mary Geiss; and his sister-in-law Lynette Geiss. He is survived by: his wife Karen Geiss of Watertown; his sons, Michael Hedman (Corinna) of Watertown, Kevin Hedman (Heather) of Watertown and Dave Hedman of Watertown; his grandchildren, Crystal, Gage, Starla, Austin, Stella, Olivia and Zion; his great grandchild Lillian; and his siblings, Mickey Hedman (Sandra), CJ Hedman, Jerry Hedman (Brenda), Nina Morgan (Gary), June Fowler (Rick) and Linda Hedman James Peters.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crawford - Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
