He was predeceased by: his parents, August Bunde and Augusta Bunde (Fromke); his daughter Marlys Bunde; his wife Eleanore Margaret Stein; and his siblings, Ethel Boeder and Earnest.
He is survived by: his son Merlin Bunde (Darlis); his sisters, Irene Prouty and Delores Goens; his sister-in-law Arlene Kannas; and his grandchildren, Larin Bunde (Jacqueline Schaefer) and Sharmell Bunde. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
