He is survived by: his wife Mary Opsata of Watertown; his siblings, Darrell Modica (Marilyn) of Willmar, MN, Linda Kraft (Robert) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jeanne Brooks of South Carolina and Carol Atkins of North Carolina; and his in-laws, Eva Lou Opsata of Luverne, MN, Richard, Ruth Opsata of Luverne, MN and John Opsata of Frankfort, KY..
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Life Evangelical Free Church (1530 SD-20, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the South Dakota State Veteran Cemetery.
The family prefers memorials be directed to Midwest Bible Camp.
