He was predeceased by: his father Merle Owen; his wife Lillian Owen; his son Mark Owen; his mother Myrtle Moore; and his brother Dean Owen.
He is survived by: his children, Jim (Kay) of Watertown, Douglas (Grace) of Chadron, Nebraska and Sandy Knutson (Gary) of Volga; and his brothers, Howard (Chris) of California and Earl of Colorado. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
