He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonie Alwyn Rautenbach and Elizabeth Grace Schoeman (Strauss); and his siblings, Johan and Beatrix. He is survived by: his wife Erika Schoeman; his children, Carl Schoeman (Shari) of Watertown, SD, Alexander Schoeman of Watertown, SD, Carla Maria Hofmeyr (David) of South Africa and Andries Schoeman (Jomari) of South Africa; and his sister Hilda Taylor of South Africa.
