It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Wasland of Watertown, South Dakota, born in Webster, South Dakota, who passed away on February 17, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lawrence and Catherine Veronica Dunlavy (Nolan); her siblings, Dale, Bob, Helen Ragels, Carol Peterson and Bonnie McDonald; and her siblings-in-law, LaVoy Ragels, David Peterson, Norm Ragels, David Wasland and Merlene Dunlavy.

She is survived by: her husband LeRoy Clinton Wasland (Pete) of Watertown; her children, Bill Wasland (Cheryl) of Watertown, Penny Martinez (Cecil) of Watertown and Lance Wasland (Rachelle) of Bradley; her grandchildren, Amanda Martz, Blake Wasland, Aleigha VanderPoel, Christian Kaaz, Justin Wasland, Jennifer Sheldon, Josh Martinez, Rebecca Sims and Emma Trautman; her siblings, Jane Zinda (Dennis) of Big Lake, MN, Catherine Ragels of Mitchell, Darrel Dunlavy (Pam) of Huson, MT, Leo Dunlavy (Denise) of Andover, SD, Jan Dunlavy (Sandie) of Belle Plain, KS and Kim Lewis (Kenny) of Gresham, OR.; and her siblings-in-law, Peggy Dunlavy, June Whetsel (Carl) and Fred McDonald. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
