With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Neal Hofer Peterson of Watertown, South Dakota, born in Bradley, South Dakota, who passed away on May 3, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora Neal (Miller) and Chet Neal; her former husband Dennis Hofer of Carpenter, SD; her daughter Debra Hill; her parents-in-law, David, Rebecca Hofer, Wilbur and Doris Peterson; her siblings, Richard, Donald, Robert, Cale Neal, Alice Warne and Jeanette Seefeldt; and her siblings-in-law, Alice Neal, Ethel Neal, Ella Hofer Peters, Joyce Hofer, Stanley Seefeldt, David Hofer and Clarence Hofer.
She is survived by: her husband LaVern Peterson of Watertown; her son-in-law Rick Hill of Fremont, NE; her sons, Clark Hofer of Watertown, Matthew Hofer (Julie) of Bryant, SD, Daniel Hofer (Connie) of Fulshear, TX and Mark Hofer (Martha) of Eau Claire, WI; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Neal of Watertown, Karen Neal of Raleigh, NC, Rose Marie Stabler (Stan) of Eureka, Gordon Warne of Bloomer, WI and Elwood Peterson (Patty) of Bradley. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
