He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia M. O'Brien (Petersen) and Charles O'Brien; and his close friend Bonnie Royer. He is survived by: his children, Brent O'Brien (Angie) of Mitchell, Vickie Weinberg (Butch) of Mitchell, Karen Feterl (Brad) of Mitchell and Linda King (Wayne) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Chasity Kleinschmidt of Mitchell and Gregory O'Brien (Amanda) of Sioux Falls; and his stepson Ray Royer of Rapid City. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
