He was predeceased by: his wife Donna L. Masartis. He is survived by: his children, Donnalynn James (William Deppe) and Russell Robert Masartis (Cheri); his grandchildren, Jamie Hoover (Jesse) and Courtney Bland Brittni (Will); and his great grandchildren, Ally Hoover, Abby Hoover, Matthew Ruffing, Anthony Boggeman (AJ), Leila Boeggeman (Ladybug), Liam Bland, Olivier (Ollie Bland) and Violet Bland.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Open Hearts Cancer Care Ministry that Russell and Donna started to reach out to South Dakota cancer patients, monthly with encouragement.
