It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sterling Peterson (Wakonda, South Dakota), born in Vermillion, South Dakota, who passed away on May 23, 2018, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Peterson; his parents, Stanley Peterson and Viola Peterson; and his sister Martha Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Paul Peterson (Julie) of Sturgis, SD, Robert Peterson (Julie) of Sioux Falls, SD and Rebecca Skroch (Jay) of Sioux Falls, SD.; his siblings, John Peterson of Wakonda, SD, Stanley Peterson of Vermillion, SD, Laura Johnson of Platte, SD and Arlene Termes (Tom) of Sturgis, SD; and his grandchildren, Blair, Eli, Isabel, Elizabeth, Hannah, Priscilla and Benjamin.
