It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Lorraine Hess of Wakonda, South Dakota, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on September 17, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dar Whitman and Bernice Whitman (Moser); and her brothers, Mark, Jean, Glen and Ray.
She is survived by: her sisters, Barbara of Newberg and Gail of Irrigon, OR; and her children, Steve Hess of Dayton, Janet Woods of McHenry, Susan Roeser of Lake Oswego, Mark Hess of Monitor, Mike Hess of Willamina, Brad Hess of McMinnville and Brenda Hess of McMinnville. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, and fifty-three great grandchildren.
