He was predeceased by: his siblings, Angeline Coacher and Robert Dwyer; his son Thomas Dwyer (Jeri); and his parents, Robert Dwyer and Cecelia Dixon Dwyer.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille; his daughters, Barbara Stavrianos (Peter) of Myersville, MD and Cindy Dwyer of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Cindy Stavrianos (Joe Gardner) of Spokane, WA, Michael Stavrianos (Zoya Gleizer) of Potomac, MD, Christopher Stavrianos (Jennifer) of San Diego, CA, Patrick Dwyer (Tabitha) of Sioux Falls, SD, Ryan Dwyer of Sioux Falls, SD and Kathleen Brudvig (Jon) of Sioux Falls, SD; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Jacob, Athena, Nikolas, Eleni Stavrianos, Alexis, Johnessa Dwyer, Julian and Emerson Brudvig; his great great grandchild Thomas Dwyer; and his friends, Senator Tim and Barbara Johnson.
The family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing observed and that donations in Gene's name be made to the donor's favorite charity or to the Sanford or Avera hospice programs.
