He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur "Abe" and Ima Sievers (Benning); his daughter Michele Sievers; his parents-in-law, Henry and Anna Schelle; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Jr., Loren Schelle and Rita Bussmus.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Sievers of Sioux Falls, SD; his son Michael Sievers (Vicki) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandsons, Jesse and Jacob Sievers of Sioux Falls, SD; his siblings, Steve Sievers (Marge), Mary "Jackie" Boyer (Jim) and Terry Sievers of Colorado; and his brother-in-law Larry Schelle (Jan) of Groton, SD. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
