It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Thaler (Wagner, South Dakota), who passed away on December 5, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Jr. Thaler and Mabel Thaler (Uecker); his brother Leon Thaler; and his brothers-in-law, Norman and Marlyn Kelly.
He is survived by: his former wife Connie Reynolds; his wife Alma Petersen; his children, Ruby Rezac (Romaine) of Sioux Falls, Terry Thaler (Renie) of Blackhawk, Sandy Honomichl (Dan) of Wagner, Linda Keyes of Phoenix, AZ and Janet Hunt (Joe) of Tonopah, NV; his stepchildren, Avis Miles (John) of Circle, MT, Rhonda Uecker (Jeffery) of Ankeny, IA and Rachel Conley (Paul) of Sioux City, IA; his sisters, Frances Ramsdell (Lowell) of Winlock, WA, Elaine Stone (Tom) of Chamberlain and Jean Heida of Mitchell; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Neugard (Thaler) of Sioux Falls, Valeria Merkwan of Wagner and Marty Castle (Carolyn) of Blaine, MN. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
