With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara J. Slaba (Wagner, South Dakota), born in Mitchell, South Dakota, who passed away on April 21, 2020 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Heumiller and Lucille Heumiller (Gottlob); her stepfather Martin Erickson; and her sister-in-law Shannon Schallenkamp. She is survived by: her husband Eugene Slaba of Wagner; her son Jason (Missy); her grandchildren, Kaden, Jennifer Friederich of Tripp, Tyrese, Javon, Joe (Melissa) of Presho, Lane, Rozin, Jessica (Paul Kuhlman) of Wagner, Paxton, Cooper and Karson; her child Karaye; her sister Joanie (Terry Werner) of Columbia Falls, MT; and her foster brother Fred Schallenkamp of Deadwood.
