She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Lobbins and Esther Lobbins (Larson); her husband Olaf Gjerde; her grandson David Hagen; her children, Ginger Hagen and Bob Gjerde; and her children-in-law, Sandy Gjerde and Dick Rutjes.
She is survived by: her stepfather Cecil Leslie; her children, Ken Gjerde (Ruth), Sandy Rutjes, Tom Gjerde, CarolMae Kastel (Mike), Rod Gjerde (Nancy) and Rhonda Fangmeier (Jim); her children-in-law, Denise Gjerde and Dean Hagen; and her sister-in-law Gladys Samuelson. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
