Terry Swartos Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Terry Swartos of Volga, South Dakota, who passed away on October 3, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Swartos and Dorothy Swartos (Nelson); his former wife Jeanne Henrikson of Sinai; his stepson Patrick Smith; and his in-laws, Wayne, Maxine Henrikson and Viola Nelson Wagner.
He is survived by: his son Tom (TJ); his wife Linda Smith (Nelson); his children, Tim Traci Watkins (Barb) and TJ; his stepchildren, Jennifer VandenBosch (Keith) and Ed Smith; and his siblings, Dale Swartos (Wanda), Steve Swartos, Sheila Larson (Dennis), Nancy Stuefen and Don Swartos (Brenda). He is also survived by five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and several step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Volga Fire Department where Terry served for 28 years.
