He was predeceased by: his father Gene Langner Olson (Ruth); and his brother Steve. He is survived by: his wife Mary Schnell of Volga; his son Nick Olson of Arizona; his mother Ruth Olson of Volga; and his siblings, Gary Olson of Volga, Scott Olson (Lynn) of Volga, Anita Ust (Steve) of Brookings and Joan VanSambeek (Rick) of Brookings. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
