He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy McCuen and Henrietta McCuen (Vaselar); his wife Phyllis Mae Clark; his son Ron McCuen; his parents-in-law, Lester and Marguerite Clark; his sisters, Dorothy Even (Don) and Bethyl Lamp (Darrel); and his parents-in-law, Margie Podoll (Marlow), Doug Clark (Pat) and Leo Clark.
He is survived by: his father-in-law Nunda; his children, Monty McCuen of Brookings, Jan Christiansen (Doug Chaney) of Garretson and Kay Ziegler (Dan) of Volga; his daughters-in-law, Nancy McCuen of Sioux Falls and Amy McCuen of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Carly Ellsworth (Adam), MJ McCuen (Meredith), Chelsey Burtis (Adam), Allison McCuen, Andrew McCuen (Amanda), Tiffany Millman (Charlie), Joe Giegling (Brigitte), Kaitlin Giegling, Jace Christiansen, Zack Ziegler, Nikole Ziegler and Jakob Ziegler; and his sister Shirley Adams (Arnie). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
