He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Mikkelsen and Lavonne Mikkelsen (Larsen); and his sister Jeanne (Sharon). He is survived by: his stepchildren, Rodney, Jr. (Becky) of Kokomo, MS, Roger (Pam) of Wakonda, Robbie of Sioux Falls, Matt Dennis (Carolyn) and Kyle Dennis (Katie); his stepgrandchildren, Brooke, Cody, Tyler, Destiny, Braylee Ness and Tiffany Neyens; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cason Ness and NJ Powell; and his pet Penny.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spring Valley Lutheran Church (44707 289th St, Viborg, SD 57070). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
