He is survived by: his daughters, Noelle Swanson (Andrew) of Frankfort, SD, Jenna (Eric Valasek) of Sunnyvale, CA and Alicia (Ben Blair) of Royal, IA; his grandsons, Stetsen Swanson and Corbin Swanson; his sisters, Helen Ebsen (Steve) of Sioux City, IA and Pat Locken (Tim) of Burnsville, MN; and his mother Mary Rist (Gjere) of Viborg, SD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
