Helen Halvorson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Halvorson of Viborg, South Dakota, who passed away on July 16, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Benson and Elva Benson; her husband Leslie Westegaard (Harold Halvorson); and her sisters, Marilyn and Phyllis.
She is survived by: her former husband Harold Halvorson; her children, Susanne and Daniel; her grandchildren, Julie Westegaard and Tracey Westegaard-Gunlogson (Andy); and her great grandchildren, Austin, Brook and Max. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, the family strongly encourages the public to wear masks.
Memorials will be donated to the Bang and Meldahl Cemeteries, the Viborg Public Library, and to Feeding South Dakota.
