He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Hays and John D. Hays; his nephews, Jacky and Carl Hays; his great-nephew Christopher Hale; and his great-niece Bobbi Hays.
He is survived by: his friend Lane; his brother Johnny (Geneva); his niece Johnitta Van Hull (Aaron); his great-nephews, Lane (Ellie), Ty and Justin Van Hull; his nephew Robert Hays; his niece Sheila Boll; his aunts, Alean Clemmer and Doreen Homewood (Don); and also, Knox and Jade Van Hull.
