He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wirth and Anna Wirth (Spomer); his wife Lois May Gruntman; his sons-in-law, Mike Jones and Tom Wray; and his siblings, Bernice Knudson (Edwin) and Ralph Wirth.
He is survived by: his children, Mike (Lois Ann) of Viborg, Greg (Sue) of Viborg, Matt (Sharon) of Viborg, Shelley Wray and Cindy Buss (James); his grandchildren, Amanda Dressler, Adam Wirth (Jessica), Katie Soto (Richie), Megan Knudson (Dustin), Matt Schroeder (Liz), Eric Schroeder (Betsy), Chris Schriever (Ed Palmieri), Rachel Penning (Lucas), Tiffany Schriever, Kyle Jones, Allison DiLeo, Jessica Haase (Dustin), Lauren Buss, Adrian Buss, Alex Buss, Penny Burns (Kyle), David Kelley, Stephen Arthur Wirth and Annie May Wirth (Kayde Bartels); his great grandchildren, Roy, Christopher, Justin, James, Adam Jr., Ryker Konnerup, Finnegan Soto, Brooklyn, Hannah, Abigail, Lexi Schroeder, Hazel Schroeder, Angel Penning, Hailey Huerta (Kaleb), Michael, Ella, Julie DiLeo, Natalie, Paige, Neil Haase, Maggie, Violet, Walter Burns, Harper, Marshall Kelley, Gavin, Helen Palmieri-Schriever, Josie and Willa Bloom; his great great grandchild Huerta; his siblings, Robert of Viborg, Eldon (Cheryl) of Hurley and Kathy Gruber (Chuck) of Beloit, WI; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Wirth of Hurley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be put towards a project In Memory of Art.
