He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Hawkinson and Edith Hawkinson; his wife Margaret Lilly Carver; his children, Deb Westphal (Bob) of Gettysburg, SD, Dave Hawkinson (Teresa) of Corpus Christi, TX, Kim Karras (Don) of Sioux Falls and Kris Olson (Todd) of Sioux Falls; and his siblings, James and Mary Ann. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family asks that memorials be directed to the Alpha Center in Sioux Falls, SD or the Alzheimer's Foundation of SD.
