He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Leslie and Edith Roberts Stoner. He is survived by: his sisters, Ellen Austin of Rapid City and Marcia Hunting of Seattle. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM at the First United Methodist Church (16 N Dakota St, Vermillion, SD 57069).
He was awarded a National Science Foundation Cooperative Graduate Fellowship for the 1962-1963 academic year.
