Lois Ballard Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Ballard (Vermillion, South Dakota), born in Beresford, South Dakota, who passed away on August 18, 2016, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George; her siblings, Florence Dolan, Marge Smit, Eunice Beacom, Virginia Thompson and Robert Dolan; and her granddaughter Kristi Hanson.

She is survived by: her children, Patrick Ballard (Susanne) of Eagan, MN, Dan Ballard (Mary) of Sioux Falls and Jeanne of Vermillion; her grandchildren, Mike Ballard, Matt Ballard, Sarah Rust, Chris Hanson, Brian Hanson and Katherine Highland; her great grandchildren, Brynlee, Caleb, Margaret, Elijah, Clara, Cate, Caroline and Harper; her sister Eileen O'Connor of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister-in-law Sally Dolan of Beresford; and also Mehlhaf of Vermillion.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the St. Agnes Catholic School or the Vermillion Senior Center.
