He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mitchell and Fay Mitchell (Anfinson). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Beth" A. Haan; his daughters, Jennifer Van Peursem (Dan) of Vermillion and Susan Van Holland (Greg); his grandchildren, Joel (Kaitlyn), Abby, Luke Van Peursem, Anna, Sarah and Taliya Van Holland; and his brother David H. Mitchell (Linda) of Rapid City, SD..
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the Coyote Bands Fund, USD Foundation.
