We bid farewell to Jana McDonald of Vermillion, South Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 19, 2025 at the age of 88. Jana touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parent Glenn Miller; her husband James McDonald; and her mother Lavinia MillerIn Lieu (Woodward). She is survived by: her sons, Glendon (Stephanie) of Vermillion, SD, Marlon (Sheryl) of Tremont, IL and Jason (Vicki) of Sioux Falls, SD; her sister Norma Aiken of Ticonic, IA; her grandchildren, Megan Dreiling (Jake), Erin Ringsred (Ryan), Zachary McDonald, Connor McDonald (Alison), Tyler McDonald (Jenna), Matthew McDonald, Allyson McDonald and Mason McDonald; and her great grandchildren, Levi and Harvey McDonald.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM. A prayer was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Hansen Funeral Home- Vermillion (1120 E Main St, Vermillion, SD 57069). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the St. John's Methodist Church (212 S 7th St, Mapleton, IA 51034).
