He is survived by: his mother Anna Louise Tanner; his wife Louise Farmer; his daughters, Lisa Hiatt (Robert) of Fort Smith, Mari Burruss (Brandon) of Vermillion, SD and Sherri Helmers (Rick) of Vermillion, SD; his grandchildren, Terra Gentry (Sheree) of Perryville, Stephen Blackard, Haley Burruss (Carson) of Demorest, GA, Hunter Burress of Demorest, GA, Shelby, Pattie, Kaleb, Karlee Kirkie of Vermillion, SD, Dakotah Hall (Kyle) of Centerville, SD and Joshua Brown of Vermillion; his close friend Eric Burns of Toccoa, GA; and his siblings, Kim, Joyce, Ronamae and Jerry. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (416 S Walker St, Vermillion, SD 57069). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
