She was predeceased by: her parents, Verner Sorensen and Marlo Sorensen (Mortensen); her husband Maurice Nelson; her brother Jim; her sister-in-law Mariella Sorensen; her brother Richard Sorensen; and her sisters-in-law, Eileen Hohenstein and Dorthy Petersen.
She is survived by: her brother Marvin; and her sisters-in-law, Coolie Sorensen of Sioux City, IA and Barb Sorensen of Vermillion, SD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Kober Funeral Home - Vermillion (402 E Main St, Vermillion, SD 57069).
