Allen Johnson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Johnson (Vermillion, South Dakota), who passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Johnson and Viola Johnson (Ola Turner); his parents-in-law, Daniel and Dorothy Czapiewski; his siblings, Edith, Darlene, Carmon and Donald; and his son Matthew Allen Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine; his children, Sharon Andrews (Jeff), Dan (Sheila) and Jim (Katrina); his grandchildren, Camille Andrews, Jeremiah Johnson (LeeAnne), Wyatt Hunter-Johnson, Matthew and David Andrews; his great grandchildren, Michaella, Angelica Johnson of Killeen and Troy Olson of Rapid City; and his siblings, Beverly Broin, Adrian Johnson and Thomas Johnson.
Due to the present pandemic situation, the services and burial will be private and, hopefully, a memorial service can be held before too long.
Memorials may be directed to the Department of Biology at USD to the Matthew A. and Allen D. Johnson Scholarship or to the Friends of the W. H. Over Museum.
