He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Bauer and Florence Bauer (Bennefeld). He is survived by: his friend Floyd Myers; his wife Diana Bauer (Miller); his children, John Bauer (Judi) of Jackson, WY, James Bauer of Columbus, NM and Teresa Huston (Robert) of Valdez, AK; and his grandchildren, Jesse Bauer, Jordan Bauer and Taylor Huston.
He was honored by the Black Hills Stock Show Foundation with the "Gathering the History" award and was granted an honorary lifetime membership.
