It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Raymond Philipsen of Vale, South Dakota, who passed away on October 23, 2022, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Raymond, Rachel Philipsen, Gerald and Mary Lauer; and his sister Gerri.
He is survived by: his parents, Gary Philipsen and Marilyn Philipsen of Vale, SD; his sisters, Karen Thornhill (Phil) of Newell, SD, Kathy Opstedahl (Loren) of Union Center, SD and Melissa Mahaffey (Ben Wetz) of Vale; and his daughters, Skyler, Elizabeth and Hailey. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces; one great niece; and two great nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Vale Community Club, Vale Cemetery, and the Vale Fire Department.
