He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Trohkimoinen and Bessie Trohkimoinen; his parents-in-law, Walt and Lola Duprel; and his brothers-in-law, Wilbur Knaub and Jerry Duprel.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Trohkimoinen of Vale; his sister Hazel Robinson (Don); his children, Darron Trohkimoinen of Vale and Carla Mumm (Chris) of Deadwood; his grandchildren, Jordan Nepstad (Bryce) of Fargo, ND, Taylor Olson (Zach) of Spearfish, SD, Erin Hasquet (Cole) of Bozeman, MT, Taava Cooper (Ryan) of Omaha, NE, Ty Cooper (Julie) of Rapid City, SD and Aaron Mumm (Morgan) of Ames, IA; and his great grandchild Lany Nepstad (Baby Olson) of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel (1235 Junction Ave, Sturgis, SD 57785). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made out to the Vale Cemetery or Vale Community Center.
