She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Philipsen and Evelyn Philipsen; and her sister Shirley Nohava. She is survived by: her husband Doug Voorhees; her sons, Terry Voorhees (Linda), John Voorhees and Shawn Bryant; her grandchildren, Ben Voorhees (Heather), Daniel Voorhees and Ticho Voorhees; her great grandchildren, Colson, Nicole, Larissa and Daniella; and her siblings, Roy Philipsen, Sharon Vinson and Patty Davis. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (1319 Junction Ave, Sturgis, SD 57785). A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
