He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Vellek and Tillie Vellek (Kucera); and his sister Marlene Hansen. He is survived by: his sister Marcene Kniffen (Larry) of Tyndall; his brother-in-law Darrell Hansen of Irene, SD; and his nieces and nephews, Timothy Kniffen, Todd Kniffen, Teri Bretey, Tony Kniffen, Beth Davis, Brian Hansen and Brendon Hansen.
