She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Cahoy (Rudy) and Ella Cahoy (Pishek); her parents-in-law, James and Emma Hisek; and her siblings, Ray, Ed, Joseph and Helen Maruska.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan O'Toole (Pete) of Fayetteville, NC, Connie Svanda (Roger) of Tyndall and Shelly Lewis (Dan); her grandchildren, Patrick O'Toole (Gina), Dawn O'Toole, Christopher Svanda (Jamie), Cory Svanda (Tabitha), Carly Svanda and Aubrie Wauhob; her great grandchildren, Carly O'Toole, Connor O'Toole, Carter Small and Nicole Svanda; her siblings, Marcy Ruman (Lumir) of Tyndall and Steve Cahoy (Janice) of Tabor; her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Cahoy of Tabor and Mary Jane Hisek of Yankton; and her friend Michele Culver Smith. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews.
She survived cancer, Covid and a year of isolation, only to have other health issues join together to weaken her body.
As Alzheimer's began to affect her memory, she and Leonard moved to the Good Samaritan Center in April of 2017.
