We are sad to announce that on June 27, 2023, at the age of 82, Gail LaVonne Kortan of Tyndall, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Machacek and Violet Machacek (Pechous); her sister Norma Reining; and her brothers-in-law, Eugene Caba and John Sternhagen.
She is survived by: her husband Emanuel Kortan of Tyndall; her children, Tammie Kortan of Vermillion, MN, Bruce Kortan (Linda) of Tyndall, Jack Kortan (Susan) of Albert Lea, MN and Gary Kortan (Lisa) of Tabor; her grandchildren, Tressa (Brian), Tiffany (Dustin), Jordan, Logan, Connor, Carter, Ross (Sara), Megan, Chase, Jacqueline, Bailey, Cassidy and Jaden; her sister Ilene Sternhagen of Tabor; and her brother-in-law Larry Reining of Tabor. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
